This BluInsights feature is specific to the PowerBuilder programming language. Consequently, it is activated only if relevant.
In a very simplified way, PBL Files are PowerBuilder Libraries that contain PowerBuilder source code. In order to explore this latter, you need to extract it first. This is exactly the purpose of the PBL Extraction feature.
Detect PBL Files
PBL Files are detected by BluInsights in Statistics when the source code is uploaded and are marked by a question mark (see the screenshot).
Clicking on the question mark next to PBL File Type displays a pop-up allowing access to the PBL Extraction page.
Once in PBL Extraction Page, you can launch extraction by clicking LAUNCH EXTRACTION button:
The extraction can take a few minutes depending on the files number and size. An email will be sent to you at the end of the operation.
Once extraction is ended, the result is shown in a table. You can switch between two display modes :
The extraction result can be used by creating a new project. In fact, you can download the extracted files and create a new project using the downloaded zip archive.
If you update the project, the extracted PowerBuilder files will be automatically added to your source code base and all project settings will be updated accordingly.
If you have added new PBL files, you can restart the extraction process.
